Hello! I’m your jeca tours guide, Jeff Cairns. Since arriving in the city of Kumamoto from Canada in 1986, I’ve fully embraced the beauty of Japanese culture, particularly through the enchanting study and performance of the traditional Japanese flute, the shakuhachi. Holding a Master’s license and honored with the name Shodou (曙洞), my passion for traditional Japanese music has deepened my appreciation for this rich culture. From this inspiring perspective, I look forward to sharing the incredible wonders of Kumamoto with you!
